Fun Little Drinks Mocktail Book
Objective:
Design and produce a small publication/booklet. The purpose and scope of the booklet will be defined by the student. Use the app called Artivive, an augmented reality platform, to extend with AR.
Concept:
Free Spirit is a mocktail bar in Nashville, TN that promotes a good time without the usual consequences of a night out in Nashville. They love to make their customers feel included and important. Even though it is only 5 years old, Free Spirit has made a name for itself, and they want to expand their range and make a mocktail book so that their patrons and even strangers can feel like the life of the party without a sip of alcohol.
Throughout this project, I challenged myself to art direct a photoshoot to capture the exact images I envisioned for the featured visuals. To view the entire book, click here.
For my motion element, I initially considered using moving typography or stop-motion with my photoshoot images, but these felt more decorative than functional. Instead, I decided to animate each section to preview the drinks featured there. Each animation highlights a specific number of drinks within that section, accompanied by music that reflects the atmosphere of the mocktail bar, giving viewers a sense of its vibe.
